A more spacious venue is needed to better fulfill the church's ministry. The existing space, a 700 square foot multipurpose room, is ​inadequate and presents daily difficulties due to its size limitations. Between the many shelves of pantry, groceries, a continues flow of ​bags of donated clothing, a large collection of books, and file cabinets full of voluminous church records, there is precious little working ​space presently available for the pastor and church volunteers.

At the current time religious education classes are also conducted in this small multipurpose room. Obviously this is not ideal. A ​new Parish Hall would have several classrooms for instruction. and/or hosting meetings.

It is also worth mentioning here that downtown Las Vegas is underserved in the way of medium-sized general meeting facilities. ​While the church envisions the Parish hall to be used mainly for parish activities and ministries, the space could be made available ​for turnkey professional meetings as well as limited scope, and parish acceptable, events. These might include, but not be limited ​to, quinceaneras, small scale catered banquets, award ceremonies, and wedding receptions.

Because the church is engaged in active ministry for the poor and underserved of downtown Las Vegas, feeding those in need is a ​year round endeavor. In fact, over a twenty year period, over 500,000 meals have been served, all from a small 700 square ​foot prep room, a room which is also used as a classroom, storage pantry, and food staging area. As currently configured, ​weekday food service is conducted out of doors in all weather conditions, ranging from frigid and wet to extreme heat. These ​harsh conditions work hardships on the staff and volunteers who prepare and serve meals, as well as those who dine. A new ​Parish Hall would therefore serve a dual purpose: as a multi use meeting hall, and an indoor dining facility able to serve the ​needful in times of adverse weather conditions.

The existing space, a 700 square foot multipurpose room, is simply inadequate, as described above. The picture at right clearly ​shows how cramped the room is, particularly when meal preparation, food unloading, and other donation processing must take ​place. More space is needed.
